Das Wassersportzentrum auf Hermannswerder der Uni Potsdam liegt nördlich des Templiner Sees in einer schönen Bucht abseits der Fahrrinne von der Havel. Dieses Gebiet ist ideal als Schulungsgebiet, da wenig Schiffsverkehr herrscht und es genügend Platz für verschiedene Wassersportangebote bietet. Dank der Modernisierung des Gebäudes haben wir beste Bedingungen, Wassersportinteressierten ein vielfältiges Angebot anzubieten. Ob mit dem SUP um die Insel paddeln, mit Ruderbooten zum Templiner See steuern oder mit dem Kajak in die Potsdamer Innenstadt schippern, der Standort bietet eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten. Neben unsere Wochenkursen für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene, bieten wir Workshops, Wochenendangebote, Ausbildungen (z.B. VDWS Grundschein Windsurfen/ SUP, Sportbootführerschein), Schnupperangebote und spezielle Exkursionen.

The University of Potsdam’s Water Sports Centre on Hermannswerder is located in a beautiful bay north of Lake Templin, away from the main Havel shipping channel. With little boat traffic and plenty of space for different water sports activities, the area provides ideal conditions for training. Thanks to the modernisation of the building, we can offer water sports enthusiasts excellent facilities and a wide range of activities. Whether you want to paddle around the island on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), row out to Lake Templin or kayak your way into Potsdam city centre, the location offers plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding waters. In addition to our weekly courses for beginners and advanced participants, we offer workshops, weekend activities, training courses and qualifications (e.g. the VDWS basic licence for windsurfing or SUP, as well as the recreational boat licence), introductory sessions and special excursions.
